Founded in 1995, the Chin Human Rights organization (CHRO) is a non-governmental organization with a Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2018. CHRO is legally registered as a charitable organization in the United States under 501 (C) (3).
CHRO is organized into two divisions: The Human Rights Division & Humanitarian Division. The latter was created in response to the necessity created by the situation following the military coup of February 2021.
